Amira Al-Zuhair celebrates her birthday
DUBAI: Birthday tributes poured in for part-Saudi model Amira Al-Zuhair, who celebrated her 24th birthday this week. From producer Kawther Alrimawi to lifestyle publication Hia Magazine, fashion and entertainment industry insiders took to social media to wish the runway star a happy birthday. The model wrapped up shooting a campaign for an unnamed brand in Milan when the clock struck midnight. She marked the beginning of her birthday with a candle-topped dessert at a restaurant in the Italian city. Instagram/ @amiraalzuhair Al-Zuhair, born in Paris to a French mother and Saudi father, has made her mark on the fashion world and appeared on the runway for an array of renowned fashion houses such as Missoni, Maison Alaia, Brunello Cucinelli, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani, Elie Saab and many more. In addition to her runway appearances, Al-Zuhair has featured in campaigns for high-profile brands such as Prada, Chanel and Carolina Herrera. Al-Zuhair returned to the runway in May when she walked in Louis Vuitton's high jewelry collection show, held at Bellver Castle on the island of Majorca, Spain. The show marked her return to the runway after she hit the catwalk at the amfAR gala in Cannes in May, before which she walked for Australian label Zimmermann at Paris Fashion Week in March. For Louis Vuitton, the model wore a strapless white gown featuring a fitted bodice and a soft, flowing skirt. The dress was detailed with cascading ruffles outlined in dark trim, which ran down the front and sides. She also made a statement at the Zimmermann show wearing a burnt-orange ensemble. The sleeveless, fitted dress featured draped, ruched detailing that added movement to the design. The look was finished off with strappy brown leather sandals and gold accessories, including chandelier earrings and bracelets. In late May, Al-Zuhair also reflected on her recent campaign with Balmain, sharing photos from the Resort 2025 collection shoot. 'Had so much fun shooting inside the Eiffel Tower herself!' she wrote in the caption. It was not Al-Zuhair's first collaboration with Balmain. She previously walked for the brand during Paris Fashion Week in September.

When Tamer was 17, she made history as the first Saudi model to walk in a Paris Haute Couture show, debuting in the Antonio Grimaldi fall/winter 2018/2019 presentation. Fast forward to 2024 and she made headlines yet again at Riyadh Fashion Week, walking the Hindamme runway with her cousin, pop star Mishaal Tamer. Zahra Hussain 'Every time I walk into Saudi, I feel an immediate peace – like the country just gives you a hug,' model Zahra Hussain says fondly. She deeply appreciates the capital's hospitality, and how energetic, lively and vibrant it is. 'Moments from working in Saudi have built up to be the best experiences of my life,' shares Hussain, who has walked both seasons of Riyadh Fashion Week. She has also walked for Brunello Cucinelli, in addition to starring in campaigns for Ferragamo, Pomellato and Adidas x KAF by KAF – each highlighting a different facet of her dynamic presence. 'There's so much talent in the fashion industry in Riyadh, and they're paving such a remarkable path for Arabian fashion,' she reflects. As Hussain approaches graduation from the University of Manchester in International Business, Economics and Finance this summer, her focus extends beyond personal achievement – she hopes to to organise a charity fundraiser for girls' education in Afghanistan. Central to her journey is her mother, Riz, who co-owns a pharmaceutical business with Hussain's father. 'I'd be lucky if I even end up half the woman that she is," she says with a smile. With a growing body of work across both runway and editorial, Hussain is quickly proving her versatility and star quality, making waves in the European fashion scene while establishing herself as a standout face to watch in the MENA region and beyond.

DUBAI: French Saudi model Amira Al-Zuhair returned to the runway this week when she walked in Louis Vuitton's high jewelry collection show, held at Bellver Castle on the island of Majorca, Spain. It marks her return to the runway after she hit the catwalk at the amfAR gala in Cannes in May, before which she walked for Australian label Zimmermann at Paris Fashion Week in March. For Louis Vuitton, the model wore a strapless white gown featuring a fitted bodice and a soft, flowing skirt. The dress was detailed with cascading ruffles outlined in dark trim, which ran down the front and sides. For the jewelry, Al-Zuhair wore bold, sculptural necklace composed of three gold bands arranged in a layered choker style. One band was set with a row of vivid yellow diamonds, while the other two boasted a twisted, rope-like texture. At the center, a large round yellow diamond pendant was suspended beneath a striking white diamond. Al-Zuhair also walked Louis Vuitton's high jewelry show in Saint-Tropez last year. She wore an intricate chunky choker that featured a wide, structured design with a lattice-like pattern in gold, adorned with numerous diamonds. The focal point of the necklace was a large yellow gemstone, which added contrast to the overall design.
