Austintown Fitch punches ticket to the district final
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Austintown Fitch topped Euclid 48-30 in the Division II Girls Basketball District Semifinals on Wednesday night.
Rachel Spalding led the Falcons with 14 points in the victory. Amiya Harris added nine, while Kaelyn Bower tallied seven.
The Falcons came out hot building a 15-4 lead after the first quarter. Austintown Fitch later went on a 16-3 run to take a 24-point lead into halftime.
With the win, Austintown Fitch improves to 12-11 on the season.
The Falcons advance to face Olmsted Falls in the Division II District Championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Elyria Catholic Coliseum.
