Ahli Sidab boost lead with big win over Seeb
MUSCAT: Ahli Sidab continued their strong performance in the Oman Hockey League after securing a commanding 6-1 victory over Seeb in the third-round match of the preliminary stage, held at the Oman Hockey Stadium in Al Amerat on Sunday.
Ahli Sidab started the match strongly, with Rashad al Fazari opening the scoring in the seventh minute, ending the first quarter with a 1-0 lead.
In the second quarter, Ahli Sidab maintained their dominance, with Haitham al Wahaibi adding the second goal. Ammar al Shaibi extended the lead with a third goal from a penalty corner in the 18th minute, closing the first half at 3-0.
In the third quarter, Ahli Sidab kept up the pressure, with Sanad al Fazari scoring the fourth goal from a penalty corner in the 36th minute, ending the quarter at 4-0.
In the final quarter, Aseel al Muaini scored the fifth goal in the 45th minute, and Ammar al Shaibi returned to complete the six-goal tally with another penalty corner. Seeb's Khalid al Hasani scored their only goal from a penalty corner in the 56th minute, ending the match 6-1 in favour of Ahli Sidab.

AL AMERAT BLANK SALALAH
In the second match, Al Amerat defeated Salalah 3-0.
Adnan al Husaini opened the scoring in the seventh minute following a quick counter-attack, ending the first quarter with Al Amerat leading 1-0.
Despite Salalah's attempts in the second and third quarters, Al Amerat's defence successfully held their ground.
In the final quarter, Elias al Nofali doubled the lead in the 46th minute, before Ali al Zadjali sealed the win with a third goal from a penalty corner, securing a deserved 3-0 victory for Al Amerat.

SEEB EARN FIRST WIN
Seeb achieved their first win with a convincing 4-0 victory over Al Nasr at the Hockey Oman Stadium.
Seeb started with offensive pressure in search of their first win, with Mahmoud al Hassani opening the scoring in the 12th minute, ending the first quarter 1-0.
The second quarter remained goalless despite Al Nasr's efforts to equalise.
In the third quarter, Seeb strengthened their lead with two quick goals by Qasim Moosa in the 35th minute and Mohammed al Lawati in the 38th minute, closing the quarter at 3-0.
Seeb continued their dominance in the final quarter, with Qasim Moosa scoring the fourth goal in the 58th minute, sealing a 4-0 victory and securing their first three points in the group, while Al Nasr remained without points after two consecutive defeats.
With these results, Ahli Sidab solidified their position at the top of the group with nine points, achieving a perfect record of three wins. Al Amerat follow in second place with six points, while Salalah and Seeb are tied with three points each. Al Nasr remain at the bottom with no points after two straight losses.
