#SHOWBIZ: Amyza Aznan: My son has overcome critical stage in cancer battle
KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actress Amyza Aznan is relieved that her eldest son Andre Mikhail, 19, has "overcome" the critical stage of his on-going cancer battle.
The 48-year-old actress said in an Instagram post yesterday that she was relieved that his condition was improving and urged all Malaysians to continue praying for his full recovery.
"Andre has beat the most critical stage in his fight against the Big C. I'm so relieved, but we must keep the faith and continue our prayers for his recovery," she said.
Amyza also uploaded two videos, of Andre playing the guitar and another of her hugging and kissing him in their living room.
"My family and I would like to thank the doctors and staff of Ampang Hospital and Kuala Lumpur Hospital for taking good care of Andre throughout his stay there. May you be blessed always," she said.
On Feb 15, Amyza said that Andre was suffering from stage three lung cancer, and had been undergoing treatment for three weeks.
