Islamic Bloc condemns arrest of university students in the occupied West Bank by Palestinian Authority security forces
The Islamic Bloc in West Bank universities condemned the arrest campaign carried out by the Palestinian Authority's security forces against several students from An-Najah National University and Birzeit University over the past few days. Among those arrested were Jihad Ahmad, Amid Hijazi, Yahya al-Quqa, Ahmad Ubaid, Saeed Khuffash, and Imad al-Baz (later released). The arrests also included: Suhaib Awidat, Saed al-Amleh, Nader Awidat, and Fadi al-Amleh, some of whom were assaulted in their homes and later released. The bloc denounced these arrests, describing them as serving the enemy's agenda, questioning the silence of the security services amid the Israeli escalation in the West Bank and Gaza. Israeli forces arrest 6 Palestinians in West Bank
Occupied Quds - Saba: Israeli occupation forces arrested six Palestinian citizens, including a journalist from Nablus, at dawn on Thursday, after raiding and searching their families' homes and ransacking their contents in various areas of the occupied West Bank. Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces arrested journalist Samer Khweira after raiding his apartment in the Asira Street area of Nablus and transporting him in a military vehicle to an unknown location. They noted that Khweira works as a presenter for the local Hawa Nablus Radio and is a master's student, majoring in cinema, at An-Najah National University. They also indicated that Israeli occupation forces arrested the young man, Montaser Ambar, after raiding and searching his family's home in the Askar al-Jadid refugee camp, east of Nablus. They added that Israeli forces raided the Old City of Nablus and deployed soldiers in the Aqaba neighborhood and around the Great Salahi Mosque. Before arresting the young man, Imad Halawa Jojo, from his home in the Daraj al-Aqaba neighborhood. The Israeli occupation forces also arrested the young man, Raslan Abdul Basit Awad, after raiding and searching his family's home in the town of Budrus, west of Ramallah, in the central West Bank. Palestinian security sources stated that the occupation forces arrested the young man, Qusay Sa'id Sand, from the Rachel's Tomb area, north of Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank, after severely beating him. In a related development, local residents reported that settlers attacked the vehicle of journalist Muhammad Turkman last night near the town of Beitillu, west of Ramallah. He was unharmed, and the attack was limited to material damage to the vehicle.
