This Groom Ditched Car For Helicopter, Internet Calls It ‘Fifty Shades Desi Style'

Last Updated: A groom in Rajasthan recreated a famous helicopter scene from Fifty Shades of Grey to make his bride's 'vidaai' extra special. Rajasthan weddings are known for being grand, where families often go above and beyond to welcome the bride. A groom has now recreated a famous scene from Fifty Shades of Grey. To make his bride's 'vidaai' extra special, he booked a helicopter and the video of this has left everyone's jaw dropped. In the Hollywood film, Christian Grey takes his girlfriend, Anastasia Steele, on a helicopter ride, and this groom did something similar for his bride after their wedding. The video shows the bride dressed in her traditional wedding clothes, smiling happily inside the helicopter. The groom looks excited and is seen capturing everyone inside the cabin, including the pilot and other family members, sitting behind with the bride. The Instagram page sharing the video wrote, 'Christian Grey from Rajasthan. If the helicopter scene from Fifty Shades of Grey had been made in Rajasthan." A similar scene was seen in Uttar Pradesh earlier this year, where a farmer from Jhansi made headlines by bringing his son's bride home in a helicopter. After earning Rs 50 lakh by selling crops, the farmer decided to make the wedding extra special. As the helicopter flew over the village, everyone came out to watch the rare and grand moment. Once the helicopter landed, the women of the family performed traditional rituals to welcome the new bride. Groom's father, Deepchandra, speaking with ETV Bharat, said, 'To make the dream of the elders come true, we tried to bring home the bride in a helicopter in all the weddings held in the family till now, but somehow, it could not materialise. This year, we had a bumper crop, which helped in bringing the bride in a helicopter." Groom Abhishek shared that using a helicopter for the wedding reception was a joint decision made with the support of everyone in the family. He said they wanted to celebrate in a grand way so that other villagers also feel encouraged to do something special and help the village become known. The bride, Jyoti, said she never imagined that one day she would travel to her new home in a helicopter. She felt thankful to her in-laws for making such a big effort to give her this special experience.
