D-Nice welcomed viewers to Club Mariah with a sampler of her hits like 'Fantasy,' 'Obsessed' and 'Heartbreaker' before the Songbird Supreme introduced herself with her signature whistle tone. A sea of white-suit-wearing male dancers swarmed her before one helped MC take off her white trench coat as she sang, 'I don't have time for the rigmarole/ Taking off my coat, clearing my throat' and showed off her shimmering gold dress. The launch of Jameson x Anderson Paak Limited-Edition Bottle lifted spirits high at the Zhongshan Building in Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur. Adding to the excitement was an electrifying lineup of artistes performing over four venues. Pulsating sounds reverberating at the Zhongshan rooftop, The Courtyard, Kantata and Triptyk filled Kampung Attap with brand new energy. Partygoers were treated to bold beats and a full-spectrum of mixes synonymous with Jameson Distilled Sounds. Jameson in recognising its music distiller Anderson Paak's talent and warm personality, gave birth to the first-ever limited-edition bottle inspired by the versatile music performer's journey, passion and joy of connecting people through sound. The Irish whiskey brand's limited-edition bottle carries Paak's unmistakable style, presenting a playful and visually attractive vibe. His signature drumsticks, trademark smile, and classic vinyl are a testament to his eclectic mix of genres and summer experience as Jameson's Distilled Sounds music distiller while in Ireland. 'It was awesome to be involved in the design process, presenting different elements of my personal journey through the label artwork,' said Grammy award winner Paak. The Jameson x Anderson Paak Limited-Edition Bottle, a collector's piece, is now available in Malaysia. Now available in Malaysia, the Jameson x Anderson Paak Limited-Edition Bottle is both a collector's piece and an invitation to explore creativity in motion. The event also showcased special cocktails by Triptyk bar founder Angel Ji, who used Jameson whiskey as the liquor base. Featured cocktails included Oh My God – a mix of Jameson Irish Whiskey, strawberry black tea vinegar and club soda, as well as Toast – a concoction of Jameson Irish Whiskey, butter coffee, popcorn syrup and smoke oak whipping cream. The cocktails were inspired by songs of Claudia Tan, the first local artiste selected to represent Malaysia at Jameson Distilled Sounds in Ireland, where she was mentored by Paak himself. The Kampung Attap event drew over 1,000 guests with 18 local artistes performing at the venues. A special live set by Tan showed how a rising indie artiste journeyed to the global stage. K-Pop Takes The Stage With Two Films At The 2025 Tribeca Festival
K-pop fans will have the chance to hum along to two new films screening at the Tribeca Festival. The 2025 festival, which takes place from June 4 to 15 in New York City, will feature The Rose: Come Back To Me, a documentary about the talented Korean alt rock group The Rose, and K-Pops!, a film about a k-pop competition show that was written and directed by Anderson .Paak. The Rose: Come Back to Me documents the journey of the Rose, from their beginnings as an indie band, busking on the street, to their appearances at global music festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza. The film follows the four friends — vocalist and guitarist Kim Woo-sung, Park Do-joon on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Lee Ha-joon, who plays drums and Lee Jae-hyeong, who plays bass, as they create music and interact with their fans around the world. The documentary was directed by Eugene Yi, who previously directed the film Free Choi Sool Lee. The band is expected to make a special appearance following the film's premiere. The Rose: Come Back to Me airs on June 6, 7, 12 and 15. K-Pops! is an American family comedy film written and directed by singer, rapper, songwriter and producer Anderson .Paak. .Paak also plays the film's protagonist a washed up musician named BJ, who finds himself on a one-way plane ride to Korea to play the drums for a popular singing competition show. There he meets a show frontrunner, played by singer-actor and former U-Kiss member Kevin Woo. Ironically, BJ's long lost son, played by Paak's real-life son Soul Rasheed, is a contestant in the competition. The star-studded cast includes Yvette Nicole Brown, Lee Young-han, Jonnie "Dumbfoundead" Park, The Rose, Diplo, Jaden Smith and Earth, Wind & Fire. The film has been described as a love letter to music, family and the undeniable impact of Black culture across genres and borders. K-Pops! can be seen at the festival on June 14 and 15 The Tribeca Festival, an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Enterprises, showcases a diverse selection of films, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. The festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2002 to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of Lower Manhattan following the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center.

G-Dragon unveils teaser video for 'Too Bad'
Anderson Paak, Karina join to support the comeback of K-pop icon G-Dragon's long-awaited comeback is imminent. The K-pop icon unveiled the music video teaser for "Too Bad," the main track of his third LP "Ubermensch," on Saturday. The 18-second clip features G-Dragon enjoying a lively party alongside Korean American musician Anderson Paak, showing groovy dance moves. The teaser showcases a rhythmic, upbeat melody with fast-paced scene transitions, while G-Dragon's bold and vivid fashion adds to the visual appeal. Anderson Paak, who features on the track, is a singer-songwriter, rapper and drummer, who, in 2021 formed the R&B supergroup Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, topping the Billboard Hot 100 in April that year. He later won song of the year and record of the year at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The music video also features Karina of aespa, one of the most popular active K-pop girl groups. At the end of the teaser, she stands in front of a blue vehicle, waiting for G-Dragon as he approaches her. Before the main track teaser, G-Dragon released a teaser for "Drama," the fourth track from his upcoming album, on Thursday. The teaser presents a different vibe from the main track, with a melancholy soundtrack playing over G-Dragon's freckled face and a sharp gaze. Including prereleased tracks, G-Dragon's new album consists of eight songs and is set for release Tuesday. Following the album, he will kick off his first world tour in eight years, "Ubermensch," with concerts at Goyang Sports Complex on March 29-30.
