Andhra Pradesh to fully digitize agriculture from Kharif 2025

Vijayawada: The agriculture department of Andhra Pradesh is set to transition into a fully digital system from Kharif 2025, with all its operations to be carried out exclusively through the APAIMS 2.0 (Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Information Management System) platform. This landmark reform will cover every aspect of agricultural governance — from input management and subsidy distribution to pest alerts and e-market linkages. AP agriculture department announced that the digitization drive is progressing swiftly and will significantly benefit both farmers and the government. "From Kharif 2025, there will be no offline services. APAIMS 2.0 will handle everything — from seed distribution to real-time advisories—ensuring transparency and fast service delivery," said S Dilli Rao, director of agriculture Developed by Vassar Labs IT Solutions, APAIMS 2.0 is a farmer-focused platform that uses technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to provide plot-level pest and disease alerts, personalised advisories, and integrated workflows. The system is designed to enhance operational efficiency, reduce delays, and offer seamless digital services to the farming community. "This digital integration will help farmers to get personalised alerts based on the crop they sowed in particular season. This will be helpful in case of crop damage and claiming insurance. Farmers can easily sell their crop and they doesnt need to submit documets everytime. We are testing it this season and will rectify any flaws based on the feedback," Dilli Rao said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning...
