2025 Remarkable Women candidate: Andrea Hansen
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The time to highlight 2025 Remarkable Women in Kern County has begun.
Over the next few weeks, every Tuesday, 17 News at Sunrise will present a remarkable woman candidate, starting off with a woman who is taking her advocacy for Kern all the way to the nation's capital congress, Andrea Hansen.
Hansen, executive director of the Kern Dance Alliance, is in Washington D.C. for the Creative West Advocacy and Arts Leadership summit as one of the 10 delegates from California.
Advocating for the arts, Hansen hopes to tell legislators, policy makers, and the administration about the importance of the role that arts play in communities.
