Rochester Amerks prepare for key game one vs. Laval Rocket
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — It's finally here: Game One of the North Division Finals for the Amerks.
Back on the ice Wednesday hosting the Laval Rocket at 7:05.
Andrew Mossbrooks, who does everything media wise covering the team, stopped by the News 8 studios Wednesday to talk about the playoff success for Rochester, and what can expect when the series opens.
'I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of a feeling out because while the Amerks have been sitting for almost two weeks, Laval also hasn't played in eight days,' Mossbrooks said. 'You take players in hockey that are creatures in habit, and remove them from said habitat, things can get a little funky. I think ten minutes in, both teams will settle in and have a really good North Division finals.'
The Best-of-Five series will be played using a 2:3 format — with Rochester hosting games 1 and 2 Wednesday night and Friday before they finish in Quebec.
