Honolulu gets its first indoor, air-conditioned pickleball courts

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The city's first air-conditioned indoor pickleball and social club opened to the public on Jan. 20, with the club boasting its unique blend of pickleball and social at Forté currently features state-of-the-art pickleball courts and will soon also include 25,000 square feet of restaurants and shopping establishments, complete with 450 parking spots for visitors. Hawaii Bowl showcases islands as 'sports destination' Membership starts at $100 per month, and everyone who becomes an auto-renewing member in January will receive a free membership through Feb. 20. Membership will include free daily open play, two hours of free parking, access to lockers, Wi-Fi, water stations and more. 'Pickles at Forté is a first-of-its-kind space for Downtown Honolulu,' said Andrew Yani, Pickles Forté chief operating officer. 'We're bringing people together for fitness, fun and community in a way that reflects the energy and inclusivity of pickleball. This is about creating an experience that elevates the area and engages everyone.' The court will throw a grand opening celebration on Jan. 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. that will feature free open play, giveaways and tours of the facility.
