Millen, it is understood, was handed a letter shortly after the Ton's 2-0 win over Dunfermline in their final Championship game of the season informing him of the meeting regarding his future. The 59-year-old, who played for the club between 1999 and 2001, has been their assistant manager since March 2021. He was Gus MacPherson's assistant and then became Dougie Imrie's right-hand man since his appointment as manager in December 2021. The drama was all unfolding at Falkirk Stadium, where the Bairns won the title and ended their 15-year exile from the Premiership. There was an upset at Livingston too, where the title-chasers were beaten by Partick Thistle, who sealed their place in the play-offs. And there was a small victory for Airdrie on the final day as their stewards silenced the visiting Ayr United supporters by confiscating their megaphone.
