Christian Dior Couture Client Data Breached in Cyber Attack

Christian Dior Couture has been hit by a cyber attack, with hackers obtaining some of its customers' data. LVMH's second biggest fashion label said it recently discovered that an 'unauthorised external party' accessed some of its customers' data but no financial information, including bank or credit card details, was disclosed in the breach. Dior says it's still investigating the incident with the help of cyber security experts after notifying the relevant regulatory authorities. 'We are in the process of informing customers where necessary,' the label added in an e-mailed statement Thursday. Le Monde newspaper reported the cyber attack took place in January and that customers in Asia were informed of the database breach earlier this week. A representative for Dior didn't reply when asked to confirm these details. Cognac Blocked From Duty-Free Channels in China in Tariff Battle

By and Angelina Rascouet Save Cognac producers are being blocked from distributing the French brandy through duty-free channels in China, in an apparent escalation of the tariff battle between Beijing and the European Union. The three biggest Cognac makers — Pernod Ricard SA, Remy Cointreau SA and LVMH 's Hennessy — have been unable to restock duty-free travel hubs across China since early December, according to people familiar with the matter. The Chinese customs' online platform through which duty-free outlets usually clear goods no longer allows Cognac to be processed, leaving stock sitting in bonded warehouses in the mainland, the people said, declining to be identified since the information is not public.
