Angelo Bavaro Leaving WTIC in Hartford After Five Years
We have another departure to report at WTIC in Hartford, Connecticut.
After five years at the station, Angelo Bavaro has let everyone know on social media that he is leaving the Fox affiliate on Wednesday. On Linkedin, he said his contract was coming to an end.
'I reached regular-status at the Newington Outback. I grew out some facial hair. I lost a dog and got a new one. I became an uncle,' he wrote. 'I discovered the magic of New England autumns and Yard Goats games. I celebrated 11 Emmy nominations for my work. I found a positive outlet for all my stress and overthinking at my gym. I lost my dad and learned about grief.'
He started his career as an MMJ for NBC's websites. He then went to work for the Capital News Service and then WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland before joining WTIC in 2020.
Last week, we reported that weekday morning anchor Keith McGilvery left the station after eight years.
