Best places to dine out or grab a takeaway in Oxford according to the internet
From Veggie delights, to burgers, high-end steaks and everything in between – we already know Oxford has some culinary treats – and now Reddit users are keen to share their favourite places to grab a bite.
Nearly 100 people got involved with a thread on Reddit on where the best places in the city were to eat.
We delved a little deeper into the comments section to dig out some of the best suggestions.
'It's got to be The Chester Arms for their steak platter,' one user wrote.
Another added: 'One of our favourites - and the Sunday lunch is great too.'
However, be warned of queues as some people stated: 'People tend to turn up early to wait until they open. However, you're near the front you might even get straight in if you're just by yourself.'
Mario's in Cowley Road is deemed to be 'a great spot for pizza with a relaxed atmosphere, and you get great food which is served quickly, too'.
Google reviews add: 'Good quality dough and cheese, loads of choice, great pizza and great vibe.'
Zheng in Walton Street was not only praised for its Chinese dishes but for its Malaysian and Singaporean ranges too.
'You're just never disappointed with whatever you try from here,' one user commented.
Philly's Burger in St Clement's Street was praised by the masses as being a 'good place to hang out' as well as grabbing a tasty burger.
The spot is described as famous for its Angus Beef Smash Burgers, southern fried chicken burgers, fries and 'dreamy' milkshakes.

Shoutout to The Gardener's Arms, in Plantation Road, which according to Reddit 'do the best vegetarian burger in the world'.
'Everyone should try it once, vegetarian or not,' the user wrote.
The Magdalen Arms, in Iffley Road, was also tipped for its European and vegetarian dishes, set to a 'cool gastropub vibe' with regular seasonal menu changes.
