Libya backs Pakistan–India ceasefire, FM tells ambassador
Libya has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, describing it as a step towards regional peace and stability, the country's acting foreign minister has said.
Al-Taher Al-Baour, who is currently overseeing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, made the remarks during a meeting on Sunday with Pakistan's ambassador to Libya, Anjum Enayat.
The meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, also included discussions on strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors.
According to a statement from the ministry, the Pakistani ambassador briefed Libyan officials on recent political and security developments in Pakistan. Libya, in turn, reiterated its support for all initiatives aimed at fostering peace in South Asia. News Tagged: India Pakistan
