Ronald McDonald House reveals House to Home Mobile Medical Unit
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Ronald McDonald House publicly unveiled a first-of-its-kind mobile medical unit in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday. The House to Home mobile unit is a resource that will provide 'enhanced telehealth' and supportive services to families with medically complex children. The unit was designed in partnership with Golisano's Children's Hospital's Complex Care Program. 'It will allow them to not have to go back in for their appointment.' Carolyn Birrittella, Vice President of Business Strategy and Philanthropy for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY said. 'We will also bring food, do a mental health and wellness check, make referrals for whatever else they need, and make sure they are connected for any resources that they need for the whole family.' Camp Good Days honors volunteers at annual Morning of Gratitude House to Home is described as 'transformational,' with the potential for the program to be of service on a national level. The ceremony took place at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center before the organization's 35th Anniversary Gala. Representatives said the evening represented the future goals and current impact of their services on individual's lives. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
