Encroachments on 3 bigha govt land removed in Neemuch
Indore: Continuing its drive against encroachment, the Neemuch district administration on Saturday removed illegal possession from around 3 bighas of govt land in Sagrana village and reclaimed land valued at about Rs 2 crore.
"We have launched a special campaign to protect govt and temple lands, remove encroachments, and promptly resolve land dispute issues. This initiative already yielded significant results, including the reclaiming of valuable govt land and the resolution of long-standing access disputes," Collector Himanshu Chandra said.
On Saturday, the administration cleared an encroachment on 3 bighas of govt land, valued at Rs 2 crore, in Sagrana village under Neemuch tehsil.
Furthermore, the team ensured that landowners whose fields were situated behind this parcel were granted access, resolving a critical pathway issue.
Besides, a land dispute was resolved, and an access path was opened in Aaspura village of Jeeran tehsil. Similar resolutions of pathway disputes were also achieved on-site by revenue teams in Ghasundi Jagir and by the tehsildar in Nayagaon. The revenue department team also took action in Dhaneria Kalan village, stopping illegal construction and removing the materials.
In Arnia Kumar village, the team removed illegal occupation from Anokhilal's leased land and handed over possession to the rightful occupant.
The district administration's campaign, spearheaded by the Neemuch collector, proved successful in its objectives of preserving govt lands, freeing them from encroachment, and resolving pathway disputes, the senior officials said, adding that approximately Rs 80 lakh worth of govt land was freed from encroachment as part of this proactive drive on Friday.
