Nagpur: The Shri Kutchhi Visa Oswal Mahila Mandal celebrated Ashadhi Bij — the Kutchhi New Year — on June 27 at Kutchhi Visa Oswal Samaj Bhavan in Lakadganj. The event was marked with enthusiasm and creativity as ladies formed groups and performed skits, playing traditional games like chausar, corners and kaudi.
On the occasion meritorious students from Class 10 and 12 were honoured. They are: Khush Sethia, Ansh Chheda, Mahek Gangar and Kinjal Maru. Kavita Shah presented the annual report. Paresha Shah, Mayuri Gangar, Vimal Shah, Alpa Shah and Mona Vora took care of the dining arragementsfor 65 attendees.
The celebration reflected the strong cultural heritage and community spirit of the Kutchhi people, who marked the beginning of their new year with prayers, traditional music, dance and festivities.
