Evangeline Lilly shares pictures of gruesome injuries she sustained after fainting
Washington [US], May 31 (ANI): Actress Evangeline Lilly shared photos of the gruesome injuries she sustained after fainting. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star posted on her social media handle that she passed out, fell and hit her face on a boulder. "I fainted at the beach. And fell face first into a boulder," she wrote. "At the hospital, the nurses and doctor went straight into action, more determined to find the cause of my blackout than to stitch up the hole punctured into my face by the rock. I smiled wryly at them. 'You won't find anything.' I said with a woozy voice," reported People. Lilly shared that she had fainting spells since she was a little girl. After ruling out epilepsy when she was young, doctors ultimately told her she had hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). "For a good chunk of my life, I went with that - hypoglycemia. It added up - my metabolism is through the roof and I metabolise sugars, particularly, with shocking efficiency," she said. "But, as I got older, and other health issues started to enter the picture, my doctor started doing a LOT of blood work. What was interesting was how, even after a 12-hour fast, even after blacking out, my glucose levels never came back as low. Hypoglycemia, it seemed, was being ruled out." Lilly then admitted that she thinks her fainting spells might be connected to her emotional well-being, reported People. "I have come to believe that this 'checking out' is a result of my little soul reaching her limit of what she feels she can cope with in this life, and she 'leaves the building,' so to speak," the actress said. "It is my conclusion, after enough of these episodes and enough medical testing to rule out different factors, that my soul longs to return," she continued. "That when she has had enough, when the pain becomes too great, the stresses beyond overwhelming, the shattered idealism crushing, my soul exits my body and returns to pure spirit." "I pull my face from the sand and take a breath. My mouth and nose are full of blood," she wrote. "My partner says that when I black out, I look like I die. He gets very afraid. My eyes roll back in my head, and all life leaves my body." Lilly noted that the past few months of her life have been demanding. After fainting and injuring herself, she was forced to "drop everything" and be still. "It might seem crazy looking at my face and my busted tooth, but I feel so grateful that I blacked out," she added. "I needed the reset," reported People. (ANI)

Ant-Man Star Doubts He'll Return to MCU
star Michael Douglas doesn't think he'll be returning to the MCU. Douglas made his MCU debut as Hank Pym in 2015's Ant-Man. He then went on to reprise the role in 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp and 2019's Avengers: Endgame before returning for 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is the last time that MCU fans have seen his character. Speaking with Deadline, Douglas was asked if he was interested in reprising his role as Hank another time for a future Marvel movie. 'I don't think so. I had the experience, and I was excited to do it. I'd never done a green screen picture before,' he answered. 'I did the The Kominsky Method because I wanted to work with Chuck Lorre and try some comedy. But I'm enjoying my hiatus and enjoying my life. It was overwhelming running the production company and acting at the same time.' This means that Hank probably won't be showing up in Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently in production and will be released in 2026; however, it has been confirmed that Paul Rudd's Scott Lang/Ant-Man will be featured in the movie. Whether or not Avengers: Doomsday will mark the end of Rudd's character's MCU journey or if he'll also return for the 2027 sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, remains to be seen. Douglas, meanwhile, recently starred as Benjamin Franklin in an Apple TV+ miniseries that premiered in April 2024 titled Franklin. He and his son, Cameron Douglas, have also filmed a drama movie together titled Blood Knot, which is directed by Roberto Sneider. The movie does not yet have a release date, as Douglas told Deadline that it's currently 'looking for distribution.' All three Ant-Man movies are currently available to stream on Disney+. Michael Douglas has 'no burning desire' to act again
Michael Douglas doesn't have a "burning desire" to act again. The 80-year-old actor was last seen on screen as Benjamin Franklin in 2024 Apple TV+ miniseries Franklin but has been focusing on working with his production company, Further Films, in the months since then and he is "enjoying" having more time to spend with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. Douglas - who has Cameron, 46, from his first marriage to Diandra Douglas and Dylan, 24, and Carys, 22, with Catherine - told Deadline: "I'm enjoying my hiatus and enjoying my life. "It was overwhelming running the production company and acting at the same time." The Wall Street star isn't giving up acting entirely but he'd only get back on camera for the right project. Asked if he will act again, he said: "Yes. If something good comes up that I really like. But I don't feel a burning desire. "I'm still producing. I still love bringing people together." Douglas played Dr. Hank Pym in Marvel's Ant-Man movie series but he's admitted 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was his last outing in the role. Asked if he'd play the part again, he said: "I don't think so. I had the experience, and I was excited to do it. I'd never done a green screen picture before." Douglas has filmed Blood Knot alongside his son Cameron, but he isn't sure when fans will get to see it. He said: "I believe it's looking for distribution." Douglas previously admitted he begged for a "serious" death in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Speaking on The View, he said: "(Getting killed off) actually was my request for the third one. I said I'd like to have a serious (death), with all these great special effects. "There's got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is. I want to use all those effects." And while Douglas didn't get his wish, he admitted then he was unlikely to return as Hank - who also had a brief appearance in Avengers: Endgame - for another movie. He said: "But, that was on the last one. Now, I don't think I'm going to show up (for a fourth)." Michael Douglas doesn't have a "burning desire" to act again. Michael Douglas Confirms He's Done With the MCU After Four Films — GeekTyrant
Michael Douglas is officially hanging up the lab coat. After playing Hank Pym in four Marvel movies over nearly a decade, the actor says he's stepping away from the MCU. In a recent interview with Deadline, Douglas made it clear that his Marvel movie chapter has come to a close. When asked whether he might return as the original Ant-Man, he responded: 'I don't think so. I had the experience, and I was excited to do it. I'd never done a green screen picture before. I did The Kominsky Method because I wanted to work with Chuck Lorre and try some comedy. 'But I'm enjoying my hiatus and enjoying my life. It was overwhelming running the production company and acting at the same time.' Douglas first appeared as Hank Pym in Ant-Man (2015), playing mentor to Paul Rudd's Scott Lang. He reprised the role in Ant-Man and the Wasp , briefly Avengers: Endgame , and most recently, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2023. His character brought a sharp, cranky charm to the series. But, with Quantumania underperforming and the future of the Ant-Man solo series uncertain, Douglas seems content with calling it a day. At 80, he's earned the right to pick his battles and focus on things that bring him joy outside of the Marvel machine. Still, his departure leaves a bit of a gap. Paul Rudd is confirmed to return in Avengers: Doomsday , but with Evangeline Lilly and Kathryn Newton's futures still unannounced, it's unclear how much of the Ant-family we'll see again.
