Liquor scam; warrant against trader

Ranchi: The special Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) court on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant against trader Vinay Singh in the ongoing liquor scam case (9/2025). The bureau had filed a petition before the court in Ranchi in this regard. Singh has skipped several notices issued by ACB in this regard leading the latter to move the court. Singh is said to be a close associate of IAS officer Vinay Choubey who was arrested in the case last month along with senior excise department officials for a fraud to the tune of Rs 38 crore. TNN
