A N College's academic excellence applauded by governor
Patna: City-based A N College, a constituent unit of Patliputra University (PPU), celebrated its Anugrah Jayanti and foundation day with great enthusiasm on the college premises here on Wednesday.
Governor-cum-chancellor of the state universities, Arif Mohammed Khan attended the function as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Khan said Anugrah Babu was much impressed with the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and worked hard for the development of the state. He also lauded the efforts of the college for its all-round achievements in the academic field and for providing an ideal platform for students to achieve the goal of life.
The occasion was marked by several ceremonies, starting with the unveiling of a statue of Anugrah Narayan Sinha, a renowned Bihar vibhuti and freedom fighter.
A documentary film showcasing the life and contributions of Anugrah Babu was screened, highlighting his significant involvement in the freedom movement and his enduring legacy in Bihar's history, said college principal Arun Kumar Singh.
A rare book titled 'Anugrah Abhinandan Granth', first published in 1949, was presented to the chief guest.

The book is a tribute to the freedom fighter's contributions and was a key highlight of the event, marking an important moment in the college's platinum jubilee celebrations. The principal said the college also launched its new magazine 'Anugrah Jyoti 2025', a publication that reflects the academic and cultural achievements of the college over the years.
PPU VC Inderjeet Singh, who presided over the function, said that A N College should be a role model for other institutions falling under the PPU jurisdiction. Earlier, the college principal welcomed the guests and highlighted the academic excellence of the college.
