NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles
NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles originally appeared on Parade. Sixty-six-year-old Lawrence Taylor, best known as 'L.T.,' joins Eli Manning and Michael Strahan as one of the most iconic players to ever suit up for the New York Giants. Advertisement Taylor made a recent surprise appearance at the Giants' OTAs (Organized Team Activities), where he offered pearls of wisdom on teamwork to the current defensive squad. But it was his appearance following recent legal troubles last summer that had everyone talking. Before leaving the group, L.T. lamented no longer playing football, stating: 'I wish I could still play, but I'm too goddamned old, you know? I can't do it no more." Despite the comment, his presence at the Giants' training facility was anything but aged. Wearing black sweats and a gray-and-black sweatshirt, Taylor looked fit and healthy, even with a newly grayed beard. His appearance was a welcome sight for fans of the athlete, who also had a memorable role in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday. Taylor's past legal troubles and history with drug use have previously made him the subject of dramatic headlines. The former Giants star — widely regarded as the greatest defensive player of all time — told The New York Times in 2003 that "L.T. is dead." Despite Taylor's attempt to put his fast-living persona to rest, the former NFL star was arrested for failing to report his address, a requirement of past legal issues stemming from Lawrence's interaction with an underage prostitute. The case against Taylor was dismissed in July 2024. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Advertisement NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles first appeared on Parade on May 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on May 29, 2025, where it first appeared.

Drew Rosenhaus delivers commencement address to law school graduates at St. Thomas University
Prolific sports agent Drew Rosenhaus loves the NFL Draft, and there's a reason. Rosenhaus, who was the commencement speaker at St. Thomas University on Friday, compared graduation day to football's annual selection process. 'My favorite part about being an agent is the draft,' Rosenhaus said as he spoke to STU law school graduates and their family members and friends. 'These [athletes] work their entire lives for that one moment when they get a phone call, and all their dreams come true. Thousands of hours — blood, sweat and tears … They get a phone call, and they've made it! 'Today is draft day for you guys! Your time has come! You're getting that phone call right now!' It's appropriate to quote Rosenhaus with a healthy dose of exclamation points because he practically yelled his entire eight-minute speech on Friday. There was no lack of passion in Rosenhaus' voice as the New Jersey native told the story of growing up in North Miami since the age of 4. Rosenhaus, who at age 22 became the youngest registered NFL agent in league history, has negotiated contracts worth more than $10 billion during the past 35 years. A graduate of the University of Miami (Bachelor's degree) and Duke's law school, Rosenhaus in 1996 became the first sports agent to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He also made cameo appearances in movies like 'Jerry Maguire' and 'Any Given Sunday' as well as TV show 'Arli$.' On Friday, Rosenhaus said STU has a special place in his heart because this is where the Miami Dolphins used to hold their annual training camp, including their historic 17-0 Super Bowl-winning season of 1972. 'The best team in NFL history used to train just a few yards from where I'm speaking,' Rosenhaus said on Friday. 'I used to come to all their training-camp practices with my father Robert; my uncle Howard, who is here today; and my brother Jason, who is my business partner. 'I grew up dreaming of one day being able to work with the players that I loved. This is how dreams begin.' Rosenhaus then gave STU's graduates some advice. 'No matter what anybody says to you about your goals, believe in yourself, and you will accomplish it. I'm living proof of a local guy who wanted to do something many people thought would be difficult. 'But I was able to pull it off because of my passion and my commitment.' Rosenhaus also told the graduates to appreciate the sacrifices made by their families to help them get to graduation day. He also talked about his own family. 'I have four children, and I battle for them every day,' Rosenhaus said. 'My prayer is that they do what you guys are doing today [graduating]. 'I'm so proud to be here today because this is the best of what life is all about — family, sacrifice and [achievement]. 'All your hard work in education — years and years … you've done it. Now is your time to put all of that into action. Go fulfill your dreams, give back and do something exceptional.'

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni breaks down a lopsided Super Bowl win: ‘This game doesn't have to be complicated'
Less than 12 hours after hoisting the Lombardi trophy, Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni kept things simple at his morning news conference, just as he did game planning for the Super Bowl. 'This game doesn't have to be complicated,' Sirianni said, discussing defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's plan Sunday. 'At the end of the day, did you tackle well? Did you get off blocks well? Did you hustle to the ball? Our guys did that. Do you take the ball away? Our guys did that. Vic did an unbelievable job.' Advertisement Philadelphia sacked Patrick Mahomes a career-high six times on Sunday night — becoming the eighth team in Super Bowl history with at least six sacks — all without blitzing once. According to Next Gen Stats, there was a point in the third quarter where the defense generated a dazzling 52.4 percent pressure rate against Mahomes without sending more than four pass rushers. 'Just like on offense, the game dictates just how the game's played,' Sirianni said. 'So we didn't need pressures at all yesterday. We were getting home with four and being able to keep seven in coverage.' The game plan was a continuation of what Sirianni calls the team's 'core values': 'Tough, detailed, together.' He echoed those sentiments in his pregame speech, when again Sirianni took the simple approach. 'The 'Any Given Sunday' talk by Al Pacino was really awesome,' Sirianni said, 'but it don't work that way, right? My job is not to inspire them, it's more to just remind them of the things they already know. I keep it really short. I talk a lot all during the week. So before the game, it pretty much is consistent Week 1 to Week 37 — whatever we are on.' The 43-year-old Eagles coach now has the most wins of any coach — regular season and postseason combined — in their first four years of coaching, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at the news conference. Sirianni has yet to coach a losing season and made the Super Bowl twice in the last three years. Sirrianni and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts became the first head coach and quarterback duo in Eagles history to reach two Super Bowls. Hurts, the Super Bowl MVP, said he approached the game similarly to Sirianni and prioritized only what he could control. When the Chiefs took away a major portion of Philadelphia's offensive game plan by holding Saquon Barkley to just 2.3 yards per carry on 20 attempts, Hurts posted the third-highest completion percentage of the season (77.3 percent), passing for 221 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while rushing for 72 yards and another touchdown. Hurts' 72 rushing yards were a Super Bowl record for quarterbacks. He also became the first player to throw for 200 yards and rush for 50 yards in a Super Bowl multiple times. Advertisement 'It's never been about what anyone else is doing,' Hurts said. 'It's always been about you yourself, the team and the work and the effort that you guys put in as a collective group. Just really trying to dominate your role, dominate your box.' Up 40-22 with under two minutes to play, backup QB Kenny Pickett entered the game in place of Hurts to kneel it out in victory formation. Even then, Hurts was not ready to personally celebrate. 'I've challenged myself, we've challenged ourselves really, to just lock in on focusing, having that focus and being able to finish,' Hurts said. 'And you get so focused in, you kind of, 'I can't.' It's not over until the fat lady sings, until the clock hits zero. It required that level of focus. 'When you're in that mode, you process and everyone's coming to dap you up, and just my innate state, my personality and my competitive nature, I don't do well when everybody's congratulating (me). The game ain't over. But it was a joyful moment. All of it, it was well deserved.'

Cameron Diaz Reveals She Quit Acting Due to Inappropriate On-Set Behaviour
Cameron Diaz has revealed she gave up acting after getting tired of "Inappropriate" behaviour on sets. The "Mask" actress, 52, made her long-awaited comeback to our screens in Netflix's new movie " Back In Action" as part of an all-star cast alongside Glenn Close and Jamie Foxx. The Netflix movie, which was released on January 17, follows Emily (Diaz) and Matt (Foxx), two former CIA agents who have given up their life of espionage and action to settle down, start a family, and live a normal life. However, things don't go so smoothly for them as their identities become compromised and they are forced to fight and run to protect those closest to them. Following her return, Diaz, who also retired to focus on motherhood, has revealed that film sets have changed dramatically following her ten-year hiatus, thanks to the #MeToo movement. She told the Skip Intro podcast: "The industry is so different. I mean, I definitely have to say that MeToo changed everything. You walk on to the set and it is different." "There was always just like that one guy, you know, on set, that you were like, 'God, here he comes again,". "There was always layers and layers of inappropriateness that you just kind of had to put up with," she added. For "Back In Action", Diaz was approached by Human Resources prior to filming to discuss appropriate behaviour and was provided with an 'anonymous hotline' for cast and crew to report any issues. "I was like, 'Wow, that's amazing'. The level of security and safety you feel as a woman now on set is great. I had never felt that before this film", she continued. The movie trailer for the movie kicks off with Emily and Matt driving towards a restaurant with their children, however, they make a quick pit stop at a petrol station. As he exits his car, a group of strangers surround him and his wife Emily and begin to attack them out of nowhere. While they're able to defend themselves, their secret identities are revealed to their children and now they must figure out what threat there is to their family. The action comedy, directed by Seth Gordon, serves as a comeback for both Diaz and Foxx following the latter's suffering a stroke in 2023 and Diaz quitting acting for her family in 2014. Previously Diaz told Empire she returned to acting purely to work with Foxx again following "Any Given Sunday" and "Annie". She said: "I thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I'd come back and do it with would be this guy (Foxx),". "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying "No. I'm not doing it, I've told you... What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!"'. The "Holiday" star officially retired from her Hollywood career in 2018, before being lured back by her close friend Foxx to star alongside him in the action comedy. But her comeback project was thrown into turmoil in 2023 when it was reported that Foxx 'had an absolute meltdown' on the UK set of the movie, which led to the firing of three people. And in March 2023, a source close to the star revealed that - while Diaz didn't have any issues with Foxx - she likely won't return to the world of film after this movie, because she's had a hard time being away from her family and hates the 'drama and confrontation' that so often erupts on movie sets. Speaking exclusively to the source said: "These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her and she hates being away from Raddix." They added: "Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world." "She hates drama and confrontation. This is why she retired from the business in the first place,". "She has already proven herself in the industry and has nothing left to prove to anyone." Diaz walked away from Hollywood in 2018 to spend more time with her rocker husband Benji, Madden. The two welcomed their daughter in December 2019 and have been incredibly private about their lives as parents to their three-year-old.
