Man killed after motorcycle crash east of Springfield
GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Springfield died Saturday afternoon after he was thrown from his motorcycle in a fatal crash in eastern Greene County.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the 42-year-old man was riding a 2021 Aprilia Tuono motorcycle west on Route YY, a mile and a half east of Springfield.

Just after 1 p.m., the motorcycle left the roadway while traveling at a high speed on Route YY and hit an embankment, ejecting the driver, the crash report says.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The next of kin have been notified of his passing.
This is the 29th fatality in MSHP Troop D in 2025.
