Five quick, last-minute Spring Break trips
Spring Break in NWA is coming up the last week of March. If you don't have big plans to spend a week at the beach, but would still like to get out town for a day or two, here's a few choice spots within driving distance.
Branson, Missouri — less than a two-hour drive.
🎡 Enjoy a ride at Silver Dollar City.
🦋 See more than 1,000 butterflies at The Butterfly Palace.
🚢 Go to the Aquarium at the Boardwalk or the Titanic Museum.
Tulsa, Oklahoma — a two-ish hour drive.
🌳 Spend some time at the 66-acre Gathering Place, a park with playgrounds you wish you had as a kid, nature trails and an interactive art museum.
🐘 Have a day at the Tulsa Zoo or the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
🖼 Explore the Philbrook Museum of Art.
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — a three-and-a-half hour drive.
🦴 Take the kids to the Science Museum Oklahoma or to see the bones of all kinds of animals at Skeletons: Museum of Osteology.
Learn about the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and honor the victims at the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum.
🌸 Enjoy a peaceful day at the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
Kansas City — a three-ish hour drive.
🎨 Check out the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art or the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
🔬 Take the kids to Science City at Union Station or the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium.
🍗 And obviously, eat some BBQ.
Hot Springs — a three-and-a-half hour drive.
🌻 Take in the beauty of Garvan Woodland Gardens.
🎢 Ride roller coasters at Magic Springs Theme and Water Park.
🚤 Have a lake day at Lake Hamilton, Catherine or Ouachita.
