Safadi: Our National Unity Is Too Sacred to Be Undermined by Any Hater or Ingrate - Jordan News
Safadi: Our National Unity Is Too Sacred to Be Undermined by Any Hater or Ingrate Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi, stated: 'We extend our deep pride to the Knights of Truth, the luminous soldiers of the General Intelligence Directorate, whose noble hands apprehended a treacherous cell that sought to endanger the nation's security and stability and put Jordanians' safety at risk. Backed by fabricated excuses aimed at manipulating public opinion, this act is no less dangerous than the crime itself. It must be dealt with decisively in accordance with the constitution, law, and fair judiciary to safeguard Jordan and cleanse the national path of those who question the country's positions.' اضافة اعلان At the beginning of today's parliamentary session, he added: 'Palestine must be above political exploitation and profiteering. I say this clearly: We will hold accountable—through the authority of the Constitution, the law, and parliamentary regulations—anyone who tries to question the stance of His Majesty the King, the army, the intelligence services, the security forces, Parliament, the Senate, the government, or the patriotic Jordanian people. After the plot revealed by the Knights of Truth, we must strengthen our faith in state institutions and our just judiciary. We must not view the state through the narrow lens of personal agendas and interests—the judiciary alone is the path to justice and the defeat of falsehood.' Here is the full text of Al-Safadi's statement: In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate Peace and blessings be upon the trustworthy Arab Hashemite Prophet Dear colleagues, We begin by congratulating our Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of Easter, praying that it returns upon them with love, peace, and safety. Wishing them all the best every year. With great pride, I salute the Knights of Truth, the luminous soldiers of the General Intelligence Directorate, whose noble hands captured a treacherous cell aiming to undermine the security and stability of the homeland and endanger Jordanians. They were supported by pretextual narratives intended to win public sympathy—an act as grave as the crime itself. This demands setting things right in accordance with the constitution, law, and just judiciary to protect Jordan and purify our national path from all elements that have cast doubt on our nation's principles. Dear colleagues, I said at the start of our 20th parliamentary session—and I meant every word—that under this dome, there are no voices opposing the state. There are only voices of parties that oppose governmental policies. There are no agendas under this dome or outside it but for Jordan. Our loyalty belongs solely to the leader of the noble Hashemite family, the protector of the homeland, the sword of justice, who has never wavered in the face of pressure and has always stood by his nation and by Palestine and its steadfast people resisting the oppressive occupation. From this platform of the people, I say with clarity: We will hold accountable, under the authority of the Constitution, the law, and parliamentary rules, anyone who tries to outbid or undermine the position of His Majesty, the army, intelligence, security services, Parliament, the Senate, the government, and our loyal people. After the plot uncovered by the Knights of Truth, we must renew our faith in our state institutions and impartial judiciary. We should not, like others, look at the state through the narrow view of interests and personal agendas. The judiciary is the only path to truth, casting falsehood into defeat and disgrace. Our national unity is more sacred than to be tampered with by any hater or ingrate—it is a red line, as His Majesty has said. And to anyone thinking of testing it with whispers or jabs, we say: The Jordanian people will not fall for these outdated tactics. Shame and defeat will be the fate of every lying coward. Let it be known to all—under this dome and beyond, inside and outside the homeland, especially those toxic sources that fuel chaos—that this blessed, pure, strong nation, with its leadership, people, army, and security forces, will defeat deception and sever the threads of conspiracy. This is a country that is kind with kindness but firm in the face of offense. Whoever tests its patience will face the consequences, and we have full faith in our fair judiciary. Long live the King—we would sacrifice our lives for him. We are proud of his wisdom and strength, the steadfast leader of our country. Long live the lion-hearted army—the arms of heroism and sacrifice—a fire that burns every traitorous aggressor. Glory to the Knights of Truth in the General Intelligence Directorate—may they be protected by God's care, and may hearts beat with love for them always. Thank you to His Majesty, their supreme commander. Thank you, noble of lineage, bearer of the trust of the Hashemite Custodianship. Thank you to the brave men of intelligence, our army, and security forces—because of you, our sovereignty and lives are safeguarded from the tyranny of misguided factions and the deep-rooted hatred of infiltrators who cannot see Jordan as the beacon of the Arab world, the first to awaken and the last fortress of resilience. Thank you to the hands that carry rifles, to the minds that know nothing but Jordan as homeland and identity, to those who guard the nation's peace from the chaos of darkness. Thank you, from the heart, to the protectors of the homeland—you are victorious, God willing, backed by a loyal and noble people. Peace and God's mercy be upon you.
