National Eisteddfod proclamation in Narberth in pictures
The National Eisteddfod Proclamation ceremony took place in Narberth on Saturday, marking the start of the countdown to the renowned festival, which will be held at Llantood, near Cardigan, in August 2026.
Named Eisteddfod Y Garreg Las (Blue Stone), this unique event will be spread across Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, and Carmarthenshire.

More than a thousand people, including representatives from schools and organisations, including the Gorsedd of bards, participated in a colourful parade through Narberth, reflecting the festival's regional significance.
The celebration then moved to Towns Moor Park for the official Proclamation, featuring poetry, song, and dance.

This event kicks off a year of activities leading to the Eisteddfod next summer.
The communities are expected to raise a significant amount of money to help host the festival, with progress already well underway.
