Volunteers needed for citywide Myrtle Beach litter cleanup on Saturday
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Volunteers are being sought for a citywide litter cleanup event on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful and the city of Myrtle Beach are conducting the 'Cleanin' for the Season' event from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday. Volunteers are asked to register online at On Saturday, volunteers can pick up supplies and get assignments between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. at the parking lot of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce at 1200 N. Oak St. Cleanup supplies include bags, gloves and easy-reach grabbers. Volunteers should wear tennis shoes and appropriate clothing for the outdoors. The event is also a kickoff of Keep America Beautiful's annual Great American Cleanup, the nation's largest community improvement program, which takes place annually in about 20,000 communities nationwide.
