Diamondback Energy partners with Midland High School Robotics for mentorship program
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- For the third consecutive year, Diamondback Energy has partnered with Midland High School (MHS) Robotics to mentor students as they design, build, and compete with their robots. Through this collaboration, Diamondback employees provide hands-on guidance, helping students with their robots, competition portfolios, and presentations. The partnership offers students the opportunity to develop real-world skills and gain insights from industry professionals, preparing them for future careers in STEM fields. On February 8, MHS Robotics teams, Alpha Dawgs, Knight Dawgs, and Junkyard Dawgs, secured placements in the League Championship, earning them spots in the upcoming Area Competition in Lubbock. The Area Championship will be held on Saturday, February 22, adding significance to the recent mentorship session as students refine their projects ahead of the event. The mentorship session took place on Tuesday, February 18, at Midland High School, located at 906 W Illinois Avenue in Midland, Texas. During the event, Diamondback employees worked closely with the teams, offering feedback and technical expertise to help students prepare for the competition.
