Star Plus uploaded a new promo of Jhanak on their official social media page. This promo offers a sneak peek into the upcoming storyline of the show post 20 20-year leap. The new lead, Riya Sharma, will be seen playing the character named Jhanak. While Neha's character Jhanak is a simple village girl, Arjit Taneja's character is shown as a cop. In the promo, it is seen that Jhanak is walking with her bicycle. A police officer's bike accidentally hits her. The police officer is none other than Arjit's character. Arjit's character offers money to Jhanak as she suffered a loss because of him. However, Jhanak refuses to accept the money and mentions how she will complain to the cop. Singer Arijit Singh has announced that his upcoming concert in Chennai, originally scheduled for April 27 (Sunday), has been cancelled. In light of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Arijit shared that the show "stands cancelled." Taking to his Instagram Stories, Arijit re-shared a post by the organisers of the event. The step has been taken to show solidarity with and pay tribute to victims of the attack which happened on April 22. A note by District Updates read, 'IMPORTANT UPDATE. In light of the recent and tragic events, the organisers, along with the artist, have collectively made the decision to cancel the upcoming show scheduled to happen in Chennai this Sunday, April 27th."
