Supercross 2025 betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines for Round 9 at Indianapolis: Cooper Webb favored

The red plate holder, Cooper Webb, is beginning to stretch an advantage on the field after scoring wins in back-to-back races in Detroit, Michigan and Arlington, Texas. Webb has not finished worse than second in five consecutive races and is widely considered one of the best racers on Midwest and Eastern dirt. the official line generator for Supercross, has honored him with a line of +131, which would produce a payout of $46.20 on a $20 bet. That is nearly 50 points better than Chase Sexton (+180). Sexton has struggled in recent rounds with a best finish of third at Detroit and in the Arlington Triple Crown. And yet, the results don't tell the entire story. In Arlington, Sexton was riding in a position in the final race that would have awarded him the overall victory, but he attempted a ill-conceived pass on a lapped rider in the final trip around the course. Sexton was riding second at the time and wanted to make a statement by passing Webb. Instead, he handed Webb the victory and sole possession of the red plate. Last week's winner Ken Roczen (+400) in the only other rider with a line under 15/1. Despite going winless through the first seven rounds, Roczen has been a reliable fixture at the front of the pack with five podiums and a fourth-place finish prior to Daytona. For that reason, Roczen is one of three riders with minus odds to stand on the podium at -122. INDIANAPOLIS LONGSHOTS Roczen's Daytona win made him the sixth winner of 2025, a mark that has not been achieved since 1998. Most experts' pick to elevate the season to seven winners is Jason Anderson (+1904), who started the season with three podiums in the first five rounds. He's failed to crack the top five in the past three races, but he was one of the fastest riders in Daytona before he was slowed by arm pump. An outright win bet of $20 would produce a payout of $400.80 so he will be attractive to intrepid bettors. His podium odds of +240 would net a decent payout of $68. Aaron Plessinger (+2118) earned his first podium of the season. Bettors who believe this will open a floodgate will want to note that his podium odds of +254 rank him fifth on that chart. If he gets a solid start to Saturday's race, he could be worth some couch cushion money for the overall win at 21/1. Malcolm Stewart (3959) is another rider who cannot be ignored. After winning the feature in Tampa and a heat in Daytona, he continues to show strength as he rehabilitates from last year's knee injury. His outright win odds of 79/2 drag his podium odds to +366 and makes him an interesting dark horse for Indianapolis. Supercross 2025 results: 250 highlights, finishing order, reaction at Arlington, Haiden Deegan wins

Haiden Deegan continues to make things hard on himself but he has fun running through the pack, and that is precisely what he did in Round 7 of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Deegan got bad starts in the first two races before gathering his momentum to win each. Notably, his best start of fourth in Race 3 netted his worst finish of second. With a 1-1-2, he easily eclipsed the field. The inability to put a complete race together might have been one reason for his intensity on the podium. Despite winning, Deegan said he needs to continue to improve. The field did not want to hear there is more in the tank. Last year Coty Schock had a Cinderella season with ClubMX. He improved dramatically but failed to podium. That was rectified Saturday night in Arlington. Schock led much of Race 1 before finishing second, barely missed the podium in Race 2 with a fourth, and finished sixth in the finale. Combining for 12 points, he took second overall via a tiebreaker. This is Schock's first Supercross podium. The story of the night belonged to Michael Mosiman. Coming back from injuries that sidelined him for most of the past two seasons, he's progressively improved from 15th in Anaheim 1 to third in Arlington. In the post-race news conference, Mosiman admitted to riding a little conservatively in the opening rounds but he is ready to contend for a win. He finished third, second, and seventh in the three features for third overall. Jo Shimoda is mostly healed from his broken fingers. He swept the top five in the Arlington Triple Crown with fifth-place finishes in the first two races and a third in the finale. He missed the podium by one point in the Olympic-style scoring. Garrett Marchbanks also put in one of his best performances of the season. He stood on the podium in Race 2, scored another top-five in Race 3, and had a worst of seventh for 15 points and fifth overall. Coty Schock Reacts to Best Career AMA Finish in Arlington

Sometimes, it's not always the guy on the center step with the biggest celebration. For Coty Schock, Arlington was a night that will stay etched in his memory forever. Schock, 27, put on a display of consistency and focus amid a fog of chaos within Round 5 of the Western Divisional 250SX Class Championship. A second in the first round of the Arlington Triple Crown and a fourth in the second race put him in contention for the overall with a good finish in the third Main Event. Only three competitors had two finishes of fourth or better. Sixth place may not seem like much but after two strong finishes, he held the tiebreaker advantage over Michael Mosiman in the Olympic-style point structure by beating him in the last race. He ended up second overall to secure his first career podium and best AMA career finish in his 10th season of professional competition. Schock had five words to summarize how he felt. 'I want more of it,' said Schock with a chuckle. Schock had one top five finish from Anaheim 2 earlier this season, and two top fives in last year's 250SX East division. He also finished third in the 250SX East championship last year. At the time, Schock admitted he had no idea his pace was in position for the better side of the box. 'No, I didn't know (the battle was also for the overall position),' Schock said, then leaning over the table to look at Mosiman. 'I just knew I wanted to beat him, with all due respect.' 'I knew it was,' Mosiman responded with a grin. That wasn't the only laugh that Schock had to celebrate. 'Being from Delaware, no one's really ever done anything from Delaware,' joked the Dover native. 'Nobody even knows that Delaware's a state, so let's be honest. There's two motorcycle dealerships, I think, and nobody really knows what moto is, so I come from a place where it's really not meant to be. I'm having a blast, so it's pretty cool.' It wasn't just Schock. The entire Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha team celebrated with their first career podium finish. And the story of how Schock got the opportunity with them was one filled with inspiration for all to hear. 'When I was on previous teams, I would look at that club and be like, 'Man, they've got a solid platform going on, and they want to win,'' he shared. 'So there's no excuses. When I got dumped from the previous team, I had to go searching and honestly, that's where I wanted to go. So I went there first, showed up on my two-stroke one day, and Mike B (Bonacci, team manager) gave me the opportunity, and he was like, 'Hey, come into the office and have a conversation.' Ever since then, it's kind of changed my life in a way. That's a solid group of guys with that whole crew. We're not a factory team, but they put in the work. We're still figuring things out. We're proving that it works. In previous years, they had J-Mart (Jeremy Martin) on it and Phil (Nicoletti) and Garrett (Marchbanks), and they've put in some solid results in the years. 'So it's been proven, so for me to sign with these guys, it's like, 'Okay, I know they see something in me before I even see it in myself,' and I feel like that's been my biggest struggle this year. I believe in myself, but how much? Just trying to take it to that next step. P2 tonight, it's pretty sick. It's good for me and good for the team.' Having a team filled with ground crew all the way up through management believing in him gave him the confidence to come out swinging. In the first five races, Schock has not finished outside the top 10, with his worst finish of eighth. He had similar numbers last year where the only finish outside the top 10 of the 250SX East division was a 12th at Nashville's East/West Showdown. Before 2024, Schock only had four top 10 finishes. The numbers don't lie that the confidence has been both a moral boost and a performance boost. 'I always knew I could ride a motorcycle well, but I never really had the structure growing up,' reflected Schock. 'I've had to really lock down these last few years, and I've checked off everything that I've wanted to accomplish, so now I'm making new goals and I've gotten this far so how far can I go? I'm living my dream and want to keep going and see how far we can go at the end of the day.' Unlike the rest of his class, Schock won't have a weekend off as he will be competing at Daytona Int'l Speedway for Round 8 of the SMX World Championship and the indoor stadium season of Monster Energy AMA Supercross next weekend on Mar. 1. For now, he gets to celebrate with his dad and fiancée who were both in attendance and go through all his text messages and voicemails from friends and family sending their congratulations. 'Un-freakin-believable,' said Schock. 'For me, it hasn't sunk in yet. I think it's because we're all wanting more. Everyone's just stoked. It's a dream come true. For me, my next personal best is a win, so that's pretty cool to say.'

Jordon Smith Announces Injury Update from Arlington Crash

While leading the final race of the Arlington Triple Crown, Jordon Smith was headed toward the white flag on pace to winning the first of three races in AT&T Stadium. For Round 5 of 250SX West Division, and for any triple crown, coming out of the gate strong is always beneficial for a good showing overall. Smith, who won earlier this year in Glendale and holds three podiums so far, held a respectable position in the championship standings as the series approached the halfway mark. But Smith would never take that white flag as his No. 19 Triumph bike crashed, throwing him into the next whoop and ending his night. The Alpinestars medical crew attended to him once the rest of the field passed. Smith was escorted off the track lifted by a stretcher. All the fans cheered when Smith waved, being alert and talked with the medical crew. Smith, 30, would not return and would instead be transported to a local hospital. Later that evening, Smith posted an update on social media of his health condition, sharing that he suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs after doctors evaluated him. 'Hey guys, obviously really bummed with going down so hard like that,' Smith posted on X. 'Was feeling good and felt good all the way through. I'm in the hospital right now. Unfortunately I sustained a punctured lung and possibly some broken ribs. All good we will heal up and be back as soon as possible.' At the time, the Belmont, N.C. native was second in the 250SX championship standings, two points behind Julien Beaumer and one point ahead of Haiden Deegan. Triumph Factory Racing Team now has three of their four riders out for injury. Stilez Robertson had surgery on his wrist to fix ligament damage from San Diego last month, the same wrist that kept him out of last season. Jalek Swoll, focused on the East division, is sidelined for the Supercross season with an Achilles tendon injury. Austin Forkner is now the sole rider carrying the team banner. It is uncertain when Smith will return to AMA competition, but his run at the 250SX Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship comes to an abrupt end at the Lonestar State.
