NNY Racing Recap: Fuller takes 358 feature at Can-Am
LAFARGEVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – Defending track champion Tim Fuller took a step towards keeping his title with a win in the 25-lap 358 modified feature on Armed Forces Night on Friday at the Can-Am Speedway.
The Edwards native passed Remington Hamm late in the race to collect his first victory of the season. Hamm, Billy Dunn, Lance Willix and Jordan McCreadie rounded out the top five.
For the Love of Dirt: Tim Fuller
Josh Reome took first place in the Sportsman feature after taking the lead on lap 14. Eric Nier took second while Gavin Eisele, Jessica Power and Mike Fowler completed the top-five finishers.
Josh Verne Jr was the winner in the 602 Crate Sprint Car division, Anthony St Mary Jr. got the victory in the ThunderCar feature and Genavieve Bartlett was first in the Limited Sportsman race.
Can-Am will be off this weekend in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. However, the track will be back in action on Friday, May 30.
Wet weather was the winner on Saturday at Evans Mills Raceway Park as rain called off Saturday night's card.
Evans Mills will have racing this Memorial Day weekend with action on Saturday night. Gates open at 5 p.m. and hot laps will be at 6 p.m.
