Egypt, Armenia Discuss Enhancing Defense, Industrial Cooperation
Taarek Refaat Mohamed Salah El-Din Mostafa, Minister of State for Military Production received Armen Sargsyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Egypt, at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of developing joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of military and civilian manufacturing, noting the strong historical relations between Egypt and Armenia, which have witnessed remarkable development recently thanks to the support of the political leadership in both countries. The Minister reviewed the capabilities of the Ministry of Military Production in the field of military manufacturing, emphasizing the ministry's commitment to meeting the needs of the armed forces and police for weapons, equipment, and ammunition, in addition to exploiting surplus production capacity to manufacture high-quality civilian products at competitive prices, and contributing to the implementation of national and development projects. He explained that the ministry's strategy is based on openness and cooperation with specialized international companies, with the aim of transferring and localizing the latest manufacturing technologies. He expressed the ministry's welcome to cooperate with Armenian companies in various fields. Egypt, Armenia talk enhancing cooperation in health sector
Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar CAIRO - 5 March 2025: Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar had a meeting on Wednesday with Armenian Ambassador in Cairo Armen Sargsyan and his accompanying delegation to discuss boosting cooperation in the pharmaceutical manufacturing domain. During the meeting, the two sides discussed re-activating the agreements signed by the two countries' health ministries, along with exchanging medical expertise. Regarding the medicines and vaccines sector, the two parties discussed the possibility of exporting Egyptian medicines to Armenia, and concluding bilateral agreements in this regard. Also, an invitation was extended to the Armenian side to visit the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) to stand on procedures for registering and exporting pharmaceuticals, particularly through "VACSERA" company. The two sides also discussed arranging a visit for a group of Egyptian drug manufacturers and health workers to Armenia in July, with the view to exploring opportunities for cooperation between companies and medical centers in the two countries, and beefing up joint healthcare and pharma investments. For his part, the Armenian diplomat said he looks forward to benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in the fields of manufacturing and localizing medicines, providing medical training, and exchanging medical expertise. Amb. Sargsyan also extended an official invitation to the Egyptian health minister to visit Armenia with the view to promoting bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
