Prince William and Kate Middleton still have 'genuine spark' on anniversary trip to the Isle of Mull

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been visiting the Isle of Mull for a two-day visit to mark their 14th wedding anniversary. The trip was organised to honour rural communities and allow the royal couple to meet with local artisans, farmers, and residents. William and Kate were greeted by cheering crowds when they arrived on the Scottish island on yesterday (29 April), which also happened to be their anniversary. More than 200 tourists and locals lined the main street to celebrate the couple's arrival. William and Kate were said to be staying in a self-catered cottage - marking Kate's first time on an overnight stay during an official engagement since her cancer treatment. The Royal Foundation is funding the refurbishment of two halls in the area, with Aros Hall and a community hall in the village of Pennyghael in southern Mull both receiving grants from the foundation. Now, a body language expert has analysed the couple's relationship as they celebrate their anniversary. With images emerging of William and Kate during their trip, body language expert Darren Stanton sees signs of a 'genuine spark' and a 'mischievous side', as they 'continue to push relationship boundaries' 14 years after their wedding day. The couple tied the knot in April of 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, as the world watched. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren revealed: "I have analysed hundreds of hours of footage of Kate Middleton and Prince William over the course of my career. In terms of the couple's body language, they are definitely one of the strongest couples - if not the strongest out of all of the Royal family." The expert shared that there has "always been a genuine spark between them" and they have a "very mischievous element to their relationship and clearly shared the same sense of humour." He continued: "Despite being together for a number of years, they now appear to be at the epitome of their relationship and well and truly in love. Simple signals that illustrate this include when William looks out for Kate whilst attending events together, just like his father does with Queen Camilla. "While Kate's confidence has grown, it's clear that he still feels very protective over his wife and will do anything to ensure that she is safe." The expert also revealed that William and Kate 'continue to push boundaries' comparing the couple to William's cousin Zara and her husband Mike Tindall. He shared: "There are many instances where the couple have shown public displays of affection over the years. From an odd kiss here and there to holding hands. As their marriage has developed over time, these signals have definitely grown, which proves that the pair have become more comfortable in each other's presence." Darren believes that despite the couple being "members of the royal family with a lifelong duty", they are not shy when "showing their affectionate side." Comparing the prince and princess of Wales to Mike and Zara, the expert stated: "I would say that Kate and William are very similar to Mike and Zara Tindall, as both of their marriages are strong and appear to have gone from strength to strength." "Mike and Zara also appear to have a mischievous side, which is something that Kate and William haven't been afraid to show in recent years. They've definitely broken away from strict protocols and appear more comfortable within their relationship while out in public," he continued. "Overall, it's clear Kate and William will continue to push the boundaries over the course of their marriage, which will only show them in a more relatable light."

William and Kate meet Tobermory traders on 14th wedding anniversary

The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in Tobermory. William and Kate were welcomed by cheering crowds as they arrived on the Isle of Mull on Tuesday afternoon. Over the next two days, the couple will be visiting rural projects in the area that their Royal Foundation supports. More than 200 tourists and residents lined the streets of colourful Tobermory to catch a glimpse of the Royals. The pair smiled and waved as they made their way to their first stop of the two-day trip, Aros Hall on Main Street. Both William and Kate got involved with the day's activities at the community-run and owned facility, using a nail gun to help construct a sign and a cabinet for the community pantry. They also grabbed a paintbrush to add flowers to a mural in the soft play area, where they spoke to families who regularly use the hub. William and Kate reportedly reminisced on their past visit to the island when they were students at St Andrews University. Aros Hall, and a community hall in the village of Pennyghael in southern Mull, are receiving grants from the Royal Foundation to fund their refurbishment. Interior designer Banjo Beale, a presenter on the BBC's Designing The Hebrides programme and a Mull resident, will work with fellow islanders to ensure the community-owned centres reflect the area's culture. He joined the prince and princess, officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when in Scotland, as they toured the building on Tobermory's waterfront. From here, they headed out into the sunshine to meet makers and creators at an artisan market near the harbour. Kate was pictured sampling produce at a whey-based spirit holder's stall as William looked on, before they both took the time to pose for photos with traders. The prince and princess also spoke to a local beekeeper about her beeswax and those from the Tobermory Fish Co. William and Kate were all laughs as they toured all of the stalls and then enjoyed a walk along the seafront. Also on Main street, the couple, who were married at Westminster Abbey on this day 14 years ago, stepped inside the Isle of Mull Soap Co shop. Their visit to the Isle of Mull will continue tomorrow with an outing at Ardura Community Forest to meet countryside rangers from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service.

William and Kate release romantic image as they enjoy anniversary on Mull

The Prince and Princess of Wales have celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary by sharing a romantic image of themselves on a secluded Scottish island. William and Kate were pictured with their arms around each other facing out to sea on the shoreline of the Isle of Mull, where they spent the day celebrating the island's rural community. Earlier the prince spoke of his joy at spending his wedding anniversary on Mull with Kate which they visited when they were students. The picture was posted on the couple's official social media accounts with a heart emoji and signed with their initials. It said: 'Wonderful to be back on the Isle of Mull. Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome W & C.' William and Kate were cheered when they arrived on the island for a two-day visit where they showed off their creative and DIY skills by helping to renovate Aros Hall, a community-owned space in the picturesque coastal town of Tobermory. The couple wed 14 years ago on April 29 2011 and will spend the night at a self-catering cottage on the island, which has a number of luxury accommodation sites. The princess debuted a new hair colouring with her balayage look – chestnut-coloured locks with highlights – and was dressed in a tweed jacket, jeans and hiking boots, with William sporting a similar smart casual look. Maggie Buchanan, an Aros Hall committee member, wished William a happy anniversary and when she told him 'it's nice you're spending it on Mull', he replied: 'Yes, nice.' Wielding a nail gun, the future King and Queen helped build a kitchen cabinet to house a community fridge for donated food, and painted delicate flowers on a children's wall mural in the hall, which is benefitting from a renovation grant from the Waleses' Royal Foundation. Interior designer Banjo Beale, a presenter of the BBC's Designing The Hebrides programme and a Mull resident, joined the couple for the visit and is working to ensure the community-owned centre reflects the area's culture. Kate and William reminisced about their visit to the island when they were students, telling volunteers and hall committee members how they visited Tobermory, where the popular BBC children's TV series Balamory was filmed almost 25 years ago. William and Kate met at the University of St Andrews in Fife and became friends first before embarking on a romance. William told Beale and others: 'It was 2003 when we were here. We had a lovely time here – it's wonderful.' He said that on their current visit to Scotland, they are 'trying to find out what challenges there are, what we can do to help'. Former Mull GP Jennifer Jack, a committee member at Aros Hall, met the royal couple and later described how William and Kate had come with a group of friends when they visited the island in 2003. She said the friends stayed in separate houses: 'The boys were at one end of the street and the girls the other.' And she remembered 'standing behind William in the Co-op' at one point during his visit. In a children's indoor play area, which has benefitted from the Royal Foundation renovation grant, the couple painted flowers on a mural and met mothers who brought their children to the facility used by family support charity Home-Start Lorn. Kate chatted to Rachael Canning, who was holding her six-month-old son Rudi, and told her that when she lived on Anglesey, where William was posted as an RAF helicopter pilot, there were no facilities such as the play room and that she would take Prince George to their local Waitrose cafe. Outside, the couple went on a meet-and-greet, chatting to dozens of well-wishers, and William gave the mother of a fellow Aston Villa supporter a hug when she referenced the football team's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend. Vicky Moir, from Staffordshire, said afterwards: 'I just asked him what went wrong and he said 'come here' and gave me a hug.' The visit overran as the couple stopped to have lengthy chats with tourists and locals, and they made an impromptu visit to a shop selling handmade soap and spoke to the owner's children. They ended their visit to Tobermory by visiting a craft and food market run by Aros Hall and sampled cheese and spirits made by Isle of Mull Cheese. The couple ended their day cooking a meal of locally sourced produce for residents and schoolchildren at a croft on the west coast of Mull. They visited Croft 3, a combined croft and restaurant in Fanmore, and after a tour the pair got to work on a small outdoor barbecue, where they cooked parcels of home-made haggis wrapped in chard with a glaze of honey and Mull whisky.

Kensington Palace Shares Stunning Photo of Prince William and Kate All Alone—and Fans Are Losing It

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Scotland today for the start of their two-day trip, and to say they've been booked and busy would be an understatement. From visiting Aros Hall and announcing two community grants through their Royal Foundation's Community Impact Programme, to engaging with local residents, the Prince and Princess of Wales have truly hit the ground running. But despite the packed schedule, it seems the royal couple has still found a moment of peace—and it's beautifully captured in a new photo. Kensington Palace shared the stunning image on social media, showing William and Kate standing alone with their arms wrapped around each other's backs. They're gazing out over a grassy hill, with a serene body of water and rolling hills in the background. 'Wonderful to be back on the Isle of Mull. Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome,' the caption read. The couple signed off simply, 'W & C.' The location holds special meaning for the pair, as Scotland is where their love story began during their time as students at the University of St. Andrews. The timing of the trip is also sentimental—the first day coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary. Fans couldn't contain their admiration, flooding the comments with affection and well wishes. 'Love exists, you're the living proof,' one user wrote. Another added, 'STUNNING!! The view and both of you!' A third fan shared, 'I'm so happy that you were able to have this moment to yourselves. Beautiful photo.' Many others also chimed in with heartfelt 'happy anniversary' messages. The Palace also posted more snapshots from day one of the visit, including scenes of the couple exploring Croft 3, a local farm and restaurant on the west coast of Mull. 'Exploring @croft3mull on the west coast of Mull. A working farm and restaurant rooted in sustainability,' the caption read. 'From low-carbon design to a menu shaped by the land, every detail celebrates local produce and community connection. A proud example of island innovation!' Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for the royal pair. Want all the latest entertainment news sent right to your inbox? Click here.
