Juneteenth flag raising ceremony held on New Haven Green
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The Artsucation Academy Network and Official Juneteenth Coalition of Greater New Haven held a flag raising ceremony on the New Haven Green on Monday.
The event featured a live trumpeter, performances by local artists, and a speaking program about the importance of this special holiday.
Connecticut officials underscore challenges for LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month
This is the first of new haven's planned Juneteenth celebrations in the coming weeks.
