Asharq Documentary is set to premiere 'Hollywood Week' on May 19, a special programming event showcasing a curated lineup of documentaries that delve into the lives, careers and legacies of some of Hollywood's most iconic figures. Timed to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival, this exclusive selection brings viewers a new perspective on global stars, with all documentaries streamed in Arabic for the first time via the Asharq Now platform.
The weeklong event offers a deep dive into the personal and professional journeys of cinema legends such as Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Kate Winslet, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio. Each film offers a nuanced look at the glamour, complexity, and cultural impact of these influential figures.
Among the highlights is Marlon Brando: In Paradise, which explores the actor's unexpected environmental legacy after he made the island of Tetiaroa his home in the 1960s. Sharon Stone: Survival Instinct traces the star's dramatic rise, her fight against industry norms, and her resilience following a life-threatening stroke.
