New 'state-of-the art' diagnostic centre opens

A "state-of-the-art" healthcare facility has opened at Woking Community Hospital. The new centre aims to provide quicker, more accessible diagnostic services and will provide faster diagnoses. The Woking Community Diagnostic Centre is part of the NHS initiative to expand access to diagnostic testing. Louise Stead, group chief executive said the centre will "improve healthcare accessibility for local residents". She said: "This facility will streamline the process for patients who require diagnostic services and reduce travelling time." Ms Stead added the facility aims to reduce waiting times and alleviate pressures on local hospitals. It will also include MRI and CT scanning, which allows patients to be diagnosed locally in a comfortable and convenient environment. The centre is operated by Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is also working with North West Surrey Integrated Care Services, CSH Surrey, Alliance Medical Ltd, Skin Analytics, and partners operating out of Woking Community Hospital.
