Her body was taken to the Koh Phangan Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police Lieutenant Pongnaphat Somboon of the Koh Phangan Police Station said: "We believe the cause of death was drowning. We will call the British Embassy to notify her relatives." Authorities said the tourist had been staying at a nearby bungalow for around a month. She was due to check out on June 11, a day after the island's infamous drug-riddled Full Moon Party popular with tourists. The Sun has approached the FCDO for comment. More to follow... A BRIT tourist has been fighting for his life after he was allegedly stabbed and thrown out of his car in a popular holiday hotspot.
