Makeup artist reveals how to disguise a 'chubby bunny face' and double chin
For women who worry that they aren't doing their makeup correctly for their face shape, one makeup artist has come to their rescue.
Content creator Ask Ellen Beauty shared a video detailing exactly how to disguise a 'chubby face.'
The Sydney-based makeup artist announced: 'Before you come for me, I am not telling you to lose weight, to gain weight, or to change yourself in any way.'
She told her 700,000 followers, 'People spend thousands on fillers and fat transfers to make their face appear fuller.'
The viral makeup artist said that 'some of us, feel full enough and we want a little snatch.'
'My chins, my choice,' she joked, before launching the viral beauty tutorial, which received 145,000 likes.
First, Ellen creates the illusion of a 'slimmer neck and a reduced chin.'
Instead of contouring under the chin, which she said is 'really obvious,' she makes the face a whole shade lighter than the body.
The Aussie beauty expert tans her body and makes the face lighter, highlighting her forehead and below her eyes so it stands out and the fuller parts fall away.
'It's about bringing forward what you do want to see,' she advised.
Then, she said if you have 'jowls' or are a 'chubby bunny' it's best to place the Westman Atelier contour from where the ear meets the head to just above the mouth.
Ellen under paints the jaw with aggressive, structural shaping since it's going underneath the makeup.
She pulls down the shape from underneath her ear using the brush.
She then uses Mac Radiance Foundation to blend everything out, including her ears so they match the rest of her face.
'It's actually wild how natural this turns out in person,' she promised.
She follows it up with blush, which should be in the same line as the contour but slightly above.
At the end of the tutorial, Ellen uses Huda brightening powder to shape the face and does her eyebrows to finish the self-proclaimed 'chubby bunny' look.
Commenters loved the tutorial, calling it 'technical and accessible.'
Some said they loved their 'chubby' faces since it helped prevent them from aging.
Others said that even though they had slim faces, they still watched the entire video to learn her dramatic contouring techniques.
