FC Barcelona appoint Aspin Holding LLC as Official Agency in GCC
Spanish football FC Barcelona have entered a landmark partnership with Aspin Holding LLC, officially appointing the UAE-based group as its official agency in the GCC region.
The agreement was signed by Joan Laporta, President of FC Barcelona and Ahmed Khoory, Chairman of Aspin Holding LLC, on May 9.
This collaboration strengthens Barcelona's strategic presence in the Gulf and aligns with the UAE's growing role as a global hub for sports tourism, innovation, and youth development. It also reinforces the country's commitment to supporting the economic empowerment of UAE nationals through opportunities in sports management, training, and international partnerships.
The initiative will focus on creating merit-based platforms for UAE youth to receive international-standard football training and exposure, while contributing to the local economy through events, academies, and tourism.
'This partnership reflects our shared vision of building a future where sport uplifts communities, empowers Emirati youth, and contributes meaningfully to the UAE's economic and social goals,' said Ahmed Khoory.
Meanwhile, Laporta said Barcelona are looking forward to promote their football culture in the region.
'We are proud to collaborate with Aspin Holding to expand our presence in the GCC. Together, we aim to promote football excellence while strengthening cultural and sporting ties between Spain and the UAE,' Laporta said.
The partnership will pave the way for football academies, elite tournaments, and immersive fan experiences across the region, with a clear focus on national inclusion and regional growth.
