Raipur: Tension gripped the quiet village of Aveli, 12 km from district headquarters Khairagarh, after locals found that the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was vandalised. The incident, which reportedly occurred under the cover of darkness, has sparked widespread anger among villagers and political condemnation, with the Congress demanding swift action and BJP threatening mass agitation. Police are probing the case, According to local sources, the incident likely occurred around 4 am on Wednesday.
