Yelp has the Top 100 Family-Friendly Restaurants. Which two in Georgia made the cut?
Mother's Day isn't far away, and if your family wants to go out to celebrate in Georgia, Yelp has a guide for your next trip.
The company has released this year's list of the Top 100 Family-Friendly Restaurants which included two in Georgia. Who made the cut? How did they do so? Which are the best of the best?
Atlanta Breakfast Club and Mary Mac's Tea Room in Atlanta are the only two Georgia eateries to make the list. They ranked Nos. 44 and 75, respectively. The former is a modern diner with a retro vibe while the latter is a classic Southern restaurant with roots dating back to 1945. Here's what reviewers are saying about them:
"Atlanta Breakfast Club will be a must-stop for me whenever I visit Atlanta! The atmosphere was relaxed, the servers were friendly, and the service was fast....I had the peach cobbler French toast and side of bacon. The French toast was amazing! The cobbler topping was crumbly and a little salty, which balanced out the sweetness of the peaches well."
"Mary Mac's Tea Room was a pleasant surprise on a recent trip to Atlanta. The first thing you'll notice is the welcoming staff. They are really great at what they made my experience feel warm and memorable. The food was outstanding as well -- true Southern food. From fried green tomatoes and chicken fried chicken to peach cobbler, this is the spot!"
Yelp said they identified businesses in the restaurants and food categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning "family friendly," then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning "family friendly." When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of Feb. 14.
