Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 gets release date

ALBAWABA - Frieren: Beyond Journey's End fans are in for a treat as the second season for one of the most beloved anime of 2023 is scheduled to release on January 2026!
According to Anime Corner, the announcement was revealed during a special talk show featuring the anime's main cast including Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren), Kana Ichinose (Fern), and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Himmel). Studio Madhouse will be returning to animate the 2024 TAAF Anime of the Year Award winner.

The special show also revealed Frieren: Beyond Journey's End's new poster and highlighted one of Season 1's best moments. The first season of the show which ran for a total of 28 episodes first premiered on Crunchyroll but later made its way to Netflix on Mar. 1, 2025.
Aside from copping the 2024 TAAF Anime of the Year Award, the anime is also deemed one of the best fantasy anime to come out in recent times and is highly regarded by fans and critics alike for its stunning visuals by Studio Madhouse and brilliant storytelling.
Moreover, reports indicate that the anime significantly boosted Frieren's manga sales, contributing to an impressive 24 million circulating copies.
