Whistleblower's son gets threat call from Pakistan while in Russia, Bhayandar cops begin probe after courts nod
MIRA BHAYANDAR: While the Bhayandar cops have received a go-ahead from the courts to investigate the non cognisable (NC) cases filed by the whistleblower Raju Hamirmal Shah , who claims to have received two threat calls from Karachi , Pakistan, now his son has received fresh threat call on Saturday late evening. He first got a call, on Saturday night, in which he was threatened that his family would be harmed and the caller claimed to know his wife's travel schedule. And after a few hours, the caller sent him two voice notes in which he continued threatening and abusing. Raju Shah's son, Kalpesh Shah, said that I am in Russia, visiting my ailing mother in law and had to travel on an urgent basis. I got this threat call and voice notes while I was in Russia. Now this crime has gone to another level, as after my father, I have received a threat call and now my entire family is under a lot of pressure, he added. He also confirmed that he had sent emails to the senior cops of the MBVV, while he was in Russia, about the threat call first and then another email attaching the voice notes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Wanted: New Zealanders Over 52 To Try Mini Hearing Aids For Free | Try Latest Hearing Devices Click Here Undo Raju Shah has till now received threat calls twice, in Feb and now last week in April, who is currently exposing the alleged scam of development of plots tagged under Enemy Property Act in Mira Bhayandar, and had filed a complaint with the cops who registered a non cognisable (NC) offence. Two NC's were registered on two different occasions, NC. 508 and NC. 632 respectively. The cops had said that in order to investigate this case they needed the courts approval as this was a NC case. On April 19 the judicial magistrate first class of the Mira Bhayandar court allowed the application filed by the cops to investigate these NC matters and the judge ordered "permission for further investigation granted". The courts observed that there was a threat to life of the complainant with land grabbing intentions and also that there was a possibility of an economic offence . In both these applications filed by the cops, the court's observations remained similar. Now since there would be thorough investigations in both these NC cases, raju shah is confident that the threat call case would soon be solved. I am happy that the courts have granted permission for further investigations and now the truth shall prevail, said Shah. He also said that his family was under more stress as his son received threat calls while he was abroad. Jitendra Kamble, senior police inspector of Bhayandar police station said that, Raju Shah's son also received a threat called while he was in Russia and he accordingly registered a non cognisable (NC) complaint offence on April 20. He also confirmed that they have got permission from the court to proceed with investigation into the two NCs filed by Raju Shah. Now the investigation would be done in detail with scanning the technical evidence, he added.
