High school sweethearts marry under the stars in Swan Valley

The quintessential high school sweethearts, Julia and James were together for 10 years before marrying in a stunning autumn wedding.
After becoming engaged at a winery in the South West surrounded by their friends, the couple celebrated their wedding with a shared feast-style evening under the stars in the Swan Valley, complete with margaritas for the bride and gin and tonics for the groom.
Julia said some of her favourite moments were hearing James' vows, and taking five minutes to have a drink together and soak everything in in private after saying 'I do'.
When and where
The pair were married on March 29, 2025, at Barrett Lane function centre in Herne Hill.
Attire
Julia wore the Argent gown by Hera Couture, before changing into a Clio Peppiatt Bridal Crystal Dress. James wore a custom suit from Institchu Karrinyup.
Honeymoon
The newlyweds enjoyed a three-week honeymoon in Vietnam, where James took Julia on a motorcycle tour and she took him to five-star resorts. James proposed to Julia at a winery in the South West.
