Recovery efforts continue for a community that was hit by a deadly tornado in Kentucky. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] >> PHOTOS: Severe storms, tornadoes rip through parts of Kentucky As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney went to Laurel County, Kentucky and spoke with people impacted by the devastating tornado. At least 17 people, 10 women and seven men, were killed due to severe weather in Laurel County, according to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. 'The whole house just started shaking, it was roaring,' Edwina Wilson said. >>RELATED: Storm Center 7 surveys damage in hardest hit Kentucky county Edwina and Zach Wilson miraculously survived this storm despite their home being reduced to a pile of debris. 'The roof was lifted off and the walls just fell in on us,' Edwina said. 'A lot of my friends and family here are gone. They not only lost their home but lost their lives.' The National Weather Service will be surveying damage to determine how strong the tornado was. Storm Center 7's Austin Chaney saw bark ripped from trees and homes reduced to the foundation slab. Crews from all over the state are working on the recovery process. 'We're coming through and just trying to clean up anything that won't affect homeowners and families,' lineman Ricky Skidmore said. Others are coming together to volunteer their time to help people affected. 'We go and cook for people, those that have suffered great loss,' Gunny Cole said. 'We have a group of our varsity football players trying to give back to the community, trying to give back whatever we can do,' South Laurel High School Assistant Football Coach Tim Roark said. He will have the latest TIMING and IMPACTS LIVE on News Center 7 at 5:00 and 6:00. The main threat Thursday night is damaging winds and hail. The chance of storms arrives after 5 p.m. Friday. All severe weather threats are possible, including significant damaging wind over 70MPH, large hail, and the possibility of tornadoes. SPC is indicating a 3/5, enhanced risk for severe weather with a 4/5 moderate risk not far away. Threat should end after 10 or 11 p.m. We will continue to update this story. Another round of showers and thunderstorms will move into the Miami Valley on Thursday. Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney said several clusters of storms are possible through the afternoon and evening hours. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. Damaging straight-line winds will be the main concern with these storms. There is a risk of individual cellular storms, but the threat of hail and tornadoes is low. Another tree was tangled in power lines and crushed a shed just a few streets over near the corner of Rumson Street and Magnolia Drive. Englewood residents Connie and Gary Brooks said they were shocked by Tuesday's storms. 'I've never seen it rain horizontally, but it was raining horizontally,' Gary said. Large field fire, plume of smoke detected on radar in Logan County

A large amount of smoke was seen on radar in Logan County near Rushsylvania. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Logan County dispatch confirmed that fire crews were sent to U.S. Route 68 and state Route 274 for a large field fire. Live Doppler 7 radar captured the large plume of smoke coming from that area. Storm Center 7 Weather Specialist Nick Dunn said for the smoke to be detected on radar it would have had to climb at least 7,000 feet into the air.
