LSUS Pilots' three homers drive them to win in NAIA World Series
LEWISTON, Id. (KTAL/KMSS) — The LSU Shreveport baseball team improved to 55-0 with a 6-3 win in the opening round of the NAIA World Series.
The Pilots belted three homeruns in the first four innings to build a 5-0 lead. Austin Gomm hit a two run homer in the first inning to get LSUS on the board first.
Jackson Syring and Diego Aragon homered in the 3rd and 4th innings for the Pilots.
Isaac Rohde (15-0) picked up the win on the mound. He gave up three runs in seven innings of work while striking out five batters.
The Pilots return to the field Monday evening against Hope International, first pitch is set for 8:30 p.m. CDT.
