‘Mohalla meeting' held in Chhapra to address residents' concerns

Chhapra: With a view to augmenting civic amenities for the residents, Chhapra Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Friday organised a ' mohalla meeting ' in ward no. 1 comprising Azayabganj Mathia area. Municipal commissioner, Sunil Kumar Pandey, said the aim of organising such a meeting was to understand the issues of people and ensure availability of civic facilities. The municipal commissioner interacted with the residents and gathered their viewpoints. During the meeting, the residents demanded benefits under PM's Awas Yojana (Urban), as well as construction and renovation of some street roads and drains. Pandey asked them to meet him in his office, where he would provide assistance to them to submit online applications for the purpose. Notably, on Thursday, altogether 184 beneficiaries under PM Awas Yojana (Urban)-I were handed over keys to the newly constructed houses.
