Bayer Leverkusen to sign PSG talent Axel Tape
Bayer Leverkusen are set to complete the signing of Paris Saint-Germain defender Axel Tape (17), as exclusively reported by Florian Plettenberg. The French defender has already undergone and passed a medical and will join the Bundesliga side on a contract until 2030. Tape will join the club upon the expiry of his contract at PSG at the end of the season. He would become the club's second defensive signing on a free transfer following the arrival of Tim Oermann (21), who has since joined Austrian Bundesliga champions Sturm Graz. Advertisement According to Plettenberg, Tape will become a part of the Bundesliga squad in the summer ahead of turning 18 on August 10. A summer of change for Bayer Leverkusen After Xabi Alonso announced his departure to join Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen quickly announced the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the Spaniard's successor. And the former Bundesliga champions have also been active in their transfer activity. Jeremie Frimpong has joined Liverpool and Florian Wirtz could yet follow.
