Azroy Hakeem Anuar celebrates after securing a double win in Round 2 of the Asia Road Racing Championship. PETALING JAYA: Rider Azroy Hakeem Anuar (pic) gave the Malaysian crowd plenty to cheer for after securing a sensational double win in Round 2 of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). Racing for Idemitsu Honda Racing Malaysia in the ASB1000 category, Azroy took the win in Race 2 with a time of 25:23.640s at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday, ahead of JDT Racing Team's Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah, who clocked 25:24.408s.

Azroy tops race as Malaysia make a rare sweep
PETALING JAYA: Rider Azroy Hakeem Anuar found his groove as he led a rare all-local sweep of the podium in Race 1 of Round 2 in the ASB1000 category of the Asia Road Racing Championship. Starting third from the pole, Azroy of the Idemitsu Honda Racing Malaysia got off to a brilliant start to immediately take control of the race and pulled away to cross the line unchallenged with a time of 25:22.336s at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.

Fierce fight in store
PETALING JAYA: Expect a close duel between riders Kasma Danial Kasmayudin and Azroy Hakeem Anuar in the 1000A category to take shape this season based on a thrilling opening round race of the MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) during the weekend. Both riders took turns to step on the top podium spot as Kasma blazed the track to win Race 1 on Saturday while Azroy bounced back to capture Race 2 on Sunday at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
